TERMS AND CONDITIONs

 

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and are subject to HST. Blake and Sons Lawn Care reserves the right to change service prices at any time.

Payments

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • E-Transfer
  • Cash (HST still applies)
  • Checks (If a check is returned due to insufficient funds, an additional $45 fee will apply.)

Payment Schedule

The customer is responsible for ensuring payments are received as per the agreed terms in their contract or invoice. We offer the following payment options:

  • Payment in Full – Due on April 1st.
  • Four Equal Payments – Due on April 1st, June 1st, August 1st, and October 1st.
  • Monthly Payments – Due on the 1st of each month. First payment must be received by April 15th.

Service Agreement

Your contract with Blake and Sons Lawn Care begins when the contract is signed and received by our office, and/or the first payment is processed. Services will not commence until one of these conditions is met.

Timing of Services

  • Spring Clean-Up – Begins once the snow has melted, typically around April 15th. You will receive an email once the schedule is confirmed.
  • Lawn Mowing – Weekly visits begin in May and continue through October.
  • Fertilization – Occurs in the spring, summer, and fall.
  • Fall Clean-Up – Typically runs from mid-October to mid-November.
  • Additional services (pruning, trimming, small tree removal, property clean-up, mulch, etc.) will be scheduled upon request.

Force Majeure

Blake and Sons Lawn Care will attempt to attend your property on the scheduled day each week. However, due to inclement weather, we reserve the right to reschedule.
Note: Mowing overly wet grass can damage our equipment and lead to uneven cuts. We will make every effort to reschedule for the next business day. During drought conditions, we may assess your lawn and decide whether a cut is necessary. If we assess your lawn and determine it does not require mowing, a notice will be left. There will be no reimbursement for weeks affected by force majeure.

Extra Fees

  • For Pet Owners: All lawns should be free of dog droppings when we arrive to provide services. A $50 cleaning charge will be applied if our equipment is found with dog droppings. If droppings are noticed before mowing, we reserve the right to not mow your lawn and will still charge for the visit.

Cancellation Policy

If you're dissatisfied with our services, please contact us immediately to allow us the opportunity to make things right. If we are unable to resolve the issue, we will cancel your remaining contract. Reimbursement will be determined from the date of cancellation to the end of the contract. Services already rendered will not be reimbursed. A final invoice or refund will be sent to the email address on file.

Non-Liable Clause

You, the customer, agree that Blake and Sons Lawn Care and its contractors are not liable for any damage to items left on the lawn, including sprinkler heads, during scheduled visits. We are also not responsible for any damage caused by regular lawn maintenance. We will not move furniture, structures, or other objects in the service area but will mow and weed around obstructions to the best of our ability.

Late/Non-Payments

Payments that are 30 days past due will be subject to a 2.5% surcharge. If an invoice is not paid in full within 30 days of the due date, all services will be halted until the account is settled. If you are unable to make a payment on time, please contact us before the due date to discuss potential solutions.
